Cameron Gibson

Owner, Registered Clinical Counsellor

I believe curiosity can replace judgement, this natural curiosity toward people lead me into a career in Mental Health, and the eventual creation of GMH in 2019. Fast forward a couple of years, and we have grown to include four incredible and diverse team members.

In my work I provide a therapeutic approach that creates practical and measurable progress for my clients. To create that impact I draw on my ten years of varied work experience, from community based treatments to private practice, and corporate work. I find this contributes to a creative and open minded approach to counselling that results in real change for people.

I hold a B.A. in Psychology and an M.A. in Counselling training in approaches for Anxiety and OCD.

Ryan Schebek

Registered Clinical Counsellor

Holding a Master of Counselling Psychology from Adler University, Ryan is an R.C.C and Certified Adlerian Counsellor. Ryan has worked in a variety of settings notably, men's recovery centre for the treatment of addiction, supporting those with mood disorders, and working with vulnerable populations on the downtown east side.

Ryan offers a safe, non-judgemental and trauma-informed space where the counsellor aids the client in the exploration of self. Counselling is full of wonderful “ah-ha!” moments. Generating insight into the origins of our psychology is often accompanied by a deep sense of relief and clarity. From this point, Ryan works with clients to deepen their insight and promote the courage required for change. Ryan specializes in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Adlerian Therapy and Mindfulness based practice, but also adapts his techniques depending on the needs of the client.

Ginna Abramovitch

Registered Clinical Counsellor

Ginna has over 20 years experience as a clinical counsellor in hospitals and in the community, providing individual, couples and family therapy, including working with children and youth. She is well versed in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, and Mindfulness-based methods, incorporating Breath work and Nature-based sessions, such as “walk and talk.” (Feel free to bring your pet!)

Ginna has extensive experience in supporting people with anxiety, depression, ADHD and Borderline Personality Disorder, as well as serious mental illness, trauma and addiction. Her approach is collaborative and inclusive of all genders, ethnicity and (sub)cultural backgrounds. It is grounded in the principles of recovery, harm reduction and social justice.

Ginna strongly believes that no matter how much we are struggling, with support, patience and self-compassion, we can begin to make sense of it and move towards our vision of a different future.
