Daniel Gorodetsky

When he’s not working with clients, Daniel enjoys seeing local comedy shows, spending time in nature, and trying to appease his wonderfully grumpy cat.

Daniel Gorodetsky

get to know me

Daniel welcomes clients experiencing difficulties such as anxiety, grief, trauma, challenges related to ADHD, and life transitions. He aims to help people overcome barriers and reach their goals through a relational, client-centred approach that prioritizes building a relationship and collaborating. Daniel uses humour when appropriate to deepen comfort, understanding, and trust in the therapeutic relationship.

As an integrative counsellor, Daniel uses elements of different modalities depending on the client’s goals and preferred approaches. This can include elements of Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Attachment-based Therapy, Parts Work, and more. Goals can be based on functional strategies for day-to-day improvements, or they can go deeper to address underlying factors often stemming from trauma and childhood experiences. Daniel draws on his experience in theatre, athletics, restaurants, campaigns, and corporate work to support clients in a flexible, understanding way.

Daniel offers in-person, virtual, or outdoor walk-and-talk therapy for people of all ethnicities, genders, and sexual orientations.
